Since 2012, representatives from various NGOs and organizations of persons with disabilities have come together at annual workshops held at The University of Hong Kong to discuss the status of the rights of persons with disabilities in Mainland China and Hong Kong. Experts from all over the world (including the U.S, the U.K, India, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the People’s Republic of China) attended these workshops to share their knowledge and experiences with participants. During the workshops, participants exchange views on various disability-related themes and share experiences regarding the promotion of rights of persons with disabilities and implementation of the CRPD.
